Commentary on Current Events

There is nothing great about Americans killing Americans or about people lying to each other, misleading one another, hating on each other. The only thing that makes a nation or a place great is the people. The people have to be much more demanding and much more selective as to who they consider to be their leader. Leaders need to exemplify wisdom, compassion, constraint, control, and empathy – the higher character qualities. The thing about what's going on right now is they're not talking about what matters. All they do is talk about how terrible this is. We should never have been in this situation to begin with. There is a flaw, a weakness there that the system is not addressing. And the system won't address it. The people have to address it. The people need to be given better choices. Better quality people need to step forward to fill these positions. There has to be a change to where money does not buy public servants – there's a conflict there. Conflict is innate when money gets involved. There is resistance to public servants doing the right thing, being honest, being role models, and to being true leaders.
